PRIVACY POLICY.
THE OPENING treats the information you submit with care, in a human and professional way. This site does not use advertising cookies or personal profiling technologies. This page explains what we may receive, how we use it, and how to exercise your rights.
Who is responsible
THE OPENING is a strategic field bureau with operational presence in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and work connected with New York, United States.
For any privacy-related question, contact: field@theopening.cc.
Information we may receive
Contact data
When you send a message, submit a form, or email us, we may receive your name, email, company or project, city or market, and any information you choose to include in the message.
Project context
If a conversation moves forward, we may keep operational notes about the opening: timing, estimated scope, involved contacts, and cultural references. These notes remain private and are used only to evaluate the possible collaboration.
Form processing
When you submit the First Move form, your data is transmitted through Web3Forms, an external form-delivery service, which forwards it to our email inbox. Web3Forms may temporarily store submissions in order to deliver them (up to 30 days on its free plan, and longer on paid plans). It is used only to deliver your message — never for marketing or profiling.
Site measurement
This site does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, advertising identifiers, or personal profiling. Certain infrastructure or security functions may use strictly necessary mechanisms depending on the technical configuration. We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregated page views, referrers, countries, devices, and performance signals without identifying individual visitors.
Cloudflare Web Analytics is used as a privacy-first measurement layer. It does not require a cookie banner because it does not place tracking cookies or build personal advertising profiles.
How the information is used
Information received is used only to:
- Respond to messages and conversations initiated by the user.
- Evaluate project, partnership, or collaboration opportunities.
- Keep a minimal operational record of communications.
- Improve the site, its content, and its navigation.
Your rights
Under Argentina Personal Data Protection Law No. 25.326, you may request access, correction, deletion, or opposition regarding your personal data.
- Access: know what information we have about you.
- Correction: request correction of inaccurate or outdated data.
- Deletion: request deletion when the data is no longer necessary.

Retention and security
Data is kept only for the time needed for the purposes described above or for the period required by applicable law. We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards.
No internet transmission system is completely secure. Please avoid sending sensitive information such as financial data, credentials, or confidential documents through unencrypted channels.
Visitors outside Argentina
If you visit from outside Argentina, your data may be processed under Argentine jurisdiction. We keep a standard aligned with internationally recognized principles such as GDPR, CCPA, and equivalent frameworks.
